Hi there,

As I understand it the difficulty calculation changes every so often on a regular and predictable basis. Is there a site/resource somewhere that can detail exactly when the difficulty calculation is calculated?

Cheers,

It changes every 2016 blocks, which takes approximately two weeks. Since blocks are only found every 10 minutes on average (and generally less than that now because the hashrate is still going up by a lot), it's not super precise. Bitcoin Clock shows an interesting visualization of it though. Bitcoincharts also shows the number of blocks to the next change along with an estimated difficulty: http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/

There are more sites to show this info, but I like
http://allchains.info/index.html
to check how the difficulty is predicted in next retarget
