I keep looking into mining equipment and the best deals seem to be with a March delivery date. And if they miss that dat it's then April and will the 200 ghash speed be outdated and too slow?

Maybe the drop in BTC price over the last few days will slow down the rush to better equipment, but i kinda doubt it.

I really need to understand what you are getting into and what the possible outcomes are before jumping in. Mining bitcoin used to be fairly simple for years until ASICs come out into the market. This hardware typically has a life of maybe 2-3 months before becoming "obsolete."

The other problem with ASICs is that they're application specific, meaning, they have no other use than mining bitcoin. If you were to get into litecoin mining you'd need 1 or more video cards and you might be able to make some nice change. And there's always a secondary market for video cards so if things become very unprofitable you can sell them off and recoup most of your purchase price.

And the other thing is you just need to be patient. Lots of money is being dumped into mining. If you're thinking day-to-day value you'll just lose in the end.
