[ANN] iXcoin Updated Client Source Release and Multi-Lingual Web Site!

Gentlemen,

We have release the source code for the updated iXcoin client and server.

You can find it on GitHub:  https://github.com/FrictionlessCoin/iXcoin

This is a preliminary release and should be used only for review and testing purposes.

WARNING: Do not use it on wallets and coins that you do not want to lose!

Binaries for Windows 32, 64, Mac OS X and Ubuntu will be released when we are confident on the stability and robustness of this release.

Please contribute your time and energy to test out the new sources.

In addition to the update iXcoin client, we have upgraded www.ixcoin.co to support multiple languages.

Specifically, we now have German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic.   Please review the translations for correctness.

Please let us know which other languages we should support on both the website and the new client.

Sorry to say, but the German translation is terrible. Actually just Google Translator level... Any Germans reading it will be terrified. If you're looking for a professional translation, let a German person translate it well.

Same about the Chinese translation, not only is the translation bad but you chose traditional Chinese characters that Mainland China doesn't usually use. (I speak both German and Chinese)

Suggestion other than that: don't use URLs like ?page_id=18 but pretty ShortURLs instead, such as /faq

I selected traditional chinese to cover a much larger audience of chinese speakers (taiwan included).  Not sure if that makes sense or not.

Yes, I should fix the permalinks.   Right now my cloud server is having trouble with that.

I see. But if you want to attract a larger audience, you should actually pick the simplified characters. Once you have a solid Chinese translation it's an easy task to offer both simpl./trad. if you wish.

I could do the German translation (I'm native speaker) for a coin reward but I do not have much time at the moment. If you want me to go ahead and do it, please get in touch via PM.

Another member volunteered to do the German,  could perhaps do the Chinese?

If I can get more donations, I can certainly offer you some coin.  However, right now its an all volunteer effort.  If you want some upside, then I suggest you buy some coin and make money on the appreciation.
