Hello,

I run a website called dotbit.me where you can register .bit domains (crypto-domains managed by the namecoin network). I try to make the process as simple as possible and accept payments in not only Namecoins but also Bitcoins and Litecoins.

In addition to that I am happy to say I just introduced the ability to pay with Primecoins and Peersoins. So if you're interested in the .bit top level domain and own any of those five cryptocurrencies please give dotbit.me a try!

Dotbit.me has been online for about a year now and have over 800 users with just over 900 domains using our service.

Regards,
Tagide

...in addition to that I also lowered the price per domain to 0.02 Bitcoins, 1 Litecoins or 3 Namecoins/Peercoins/Primecoins.

3 Namecoins is a lot more than you would pay when using the namecoin client but I hope and believe the simplicity of using dotbit.me (which among other things keeps your domains from expiering) instead of the client and shell commands is worth the extras cost for some.

Price is far too high. That would be more than one year of a .com domain.

A .bit domain costs 0.015-0.02 NMC (applying standard fees) with the namecoin system. It should not cost more than 0.5 NMC if using a registrar services.

Thanks for your reply! I know the prices are high when compared to registering a domain in the shell with the namecoin software. I charge for making the process simple, web-based and automatically keeping your domains from expiring. All transfers of coins and domains in and out of dotbit.me is also free even though transfers out costs me coins. The service is not for everyone but a lot of people seems to enjoy it.

It's a hobby site but the goal is to sometime in the future break even. Prices in crypto-coin are very volatile so what was a low price yesterday can be high today and the other way around. I have lowered prices a lot lately but do not intend to increase prices when values fall which means I need to be careful.
