The SBI lady is a huge Bitcoin fan.

But we do suspect that we will have 'people with eyes' at the conference as well.

In 140+ sign-ups so far, I betcha that few of em will be there to evaluate and understand why regulation will fail.

Thats good to see people taking it seriously .. but honestly I think its quite a predictable outcome :

RBI warns people to be careful and banks to not indulge in this (which I think will slightly affect BTC prices considering India population, something like China but on a smaller scale). However in a day or two people will realize that its not illegal and infact what the RBI did was just asked people to be careful. And BTC will continue to rise.

Its all written on my magic wall :-P

PS: Would be quite hilarious to see Raghuram walk in during the press release and say "Im selling BTC at Gox rates .. anybody wants ?" lulzzz

I'm sure RBI will soon pass some regulations to fcuk up Indian bitcoin users. I think the RBI guys really hate freelancers and people running e-biz.

I expect modified version of EBA's document from RBI. Below is the link to European Banking Authority's Warning to Consumers on Virtual Currencies :
