Stating the obvious, I'm new here and very new to the whole bitcoin phenomenon.

Just read a couple articles and forums regarding the Neptune miner and thought about purchasing. As you might already know it's currently selling for $9995 which is a little outside my price range!  Sad Also noticed that the first batch of these have sold out so it might not be worth as much in terms of mining potential by the time the second batch (which is currently listed for sale) gets delivered -late 2014?

I've seen a couple of group buys for these on this site and they seem to be quite popular however I'm a tad bit hesitant to join the fray.

Looking to hear from any of you that have joined a group buy before. Doesn't have to be for the Neptune. I also realise that experiences vary but would appreciate the input regardless.

Thanks!

There have been group buy scams. Before investing in a group buy, please research extensively into the organizer's history, and judge for yourself whether or not they are trustworthy.

In bitcoin land, there are no chargebacks, and no room for error. If you aren't 100% confident in someone, don't give them your money. You wont get it back.
