As of today, the instant buy option 10 BTC/week for level 2 verified customers who also added a Visa credit card to their accounts is no longer showing up on their accounts. This move could mean the end for instant buy of whatever BTC amount for whatever level verification on Coinbase.

I noticed this as well, big bummer. I'm guessing they have been having trouble with stolen info being used as Brian had addressed the SF Bitcoin Meetup saying they have been getting a lot of scam traffic/stolen bank info lately from all around the world.

Instant buy is clearly a very attractive thing for both legitimate users and online thieves. Removing it could have a strong effect on Coinbase though.

You have 50.0 BTC remaining of your daily buy limit. View limits.

You can buy up to 10.00 BTC worth of bitcoin instantly with no waiting.

i don't know about you guys but mine is still there

What they did was remove the text from the right side of the screen.

Once you begin a purchase, it tells you that you still get them instantly.

But one slight caveat - it made me wait a full 60 minutes before that "instant" BTC would leave their system when I sent it to another address.

It said the send was "Pending" for a little over an hour.

But yes, they were immediately available.  I noticed the text was missing.

Did they also disable their "instant verification" option that allows you to provide your banking password (not just your account and routing number) so that they can make a deposit and instantly verify it (not have to wait 2-3 days for the microdeposit)?
Thanks

Not every bank supports their instant verification option. People having a bank account with Wells Fargo may take this shortcut I think.
