How do I create a pundi X wallet adress?

Hey,

Question in general for ERC-20 tokens.
I want to buy some Pundi X.
However before I'm gona buy them I want to set up my wallet.
I'm using MetaMask.
I'm struggeling to set up a wallet adress for these tokens.
Do I need to use my general public adress from meta mask to receive them?
After that I can see a specific adress on ether scan?
or do i lose all my tokens if i send it to the general metamask wallet adress?
If this is not the case how do I set up my wallet adress?
