After the last bot activities see the whole thread for reference
I think it's time for a small optimization.
As I suggested in the subject I would like to propose the following change:

To add captcha or similar service for posting for Brand New, Newbie and Jr. Member ranks.
No need to explain what are the advantages, it is one solution to the problem with the bots.

Let me know what you think.

Spammers  join  bounties   it's  not the new members  are the problem   but it's the fake ( alt ) new members  .  Doing like you suggest  will have good and bad effects .  I simply advice  to go after bounties managers  since they have the solution to stop this spam , they need to do their jobs  and not pay for shit , uselss, spam posts   and if they do  well  end their career  with  -2 red trust  from dt members  .
Curing a disease must be by  eliminating the cause . in our situation  they get paid  for spamming around   .. if bounty managers stop paying those alts and lazy spammers  that will remove the main reason why they spam and thus  there will be a huge decrease in spammers  .

Let me know what you think.
I like the idea but unfortunately, bots can easily bypass such services (FWIK) too, so something else is needed.

Based on my observation (checked few random profiles, from your other thread), bots are not the only reason behind such accounts.

Having one of those click the squares captchas before every post will be annoying as fuck. The whole purpose of reducing spam and wanky posts is to increase the enjoyment of the thread by the people who care about it and use it not to spam for free tokens. Adding Captchas to logins would be fine, most places have that and once per session isnt going to make my want to self harm. Do what is necessary to remove the harm and not what can be done (because thats how you throw a baby out with bathwater), and do so in small increments.

That was a good suggestion for eradicating the bots but how about the low rank accounts who are piloted by real humans? I'm sure they will be greatly affected by this. I know that solving captchas is a very easy task but if you will do this over and over again then you may notice that it will be annoying and tiring as well.

I don't think so bud, some captchas are being automatically solved, I don't know the reason for this but I already experienced this, so I think that bots can also evade this situation. For non bot users, this might actually be a hassle but I guess this won't take a long time to solve as long as the internet connection doesn't have any issues  Grin
I would like to suggest that an input of password before posting must be done (I think it would be possible if this won't be savable like the login process on some online games)

It doesn't need to be captcha, that's why i put "or similar" see Binance login for example, no need to write anything, it's just to drag one puzzle piece to place, that's all. I don't think that it will slow down the users, and is also mobile friendly too. It's just an example, it can be

As I know, BitCaptcha (example that you've posted) is dead. It's not possible to access their site anymore and they weren't accepting new publishers in recent months.
And I heard that almost all captchas (except Google ReCaptcha maybe) can be easily bypassed.
But I support your suggestion. As I remember, now Newbies have to solve simple SMF captcha before sending PM's, but it can't stop @hypebtc bots. So, I think that only Google ReCaptcha can help to prevent bots who are sending PM's and posting on bitcointalk.

What happens if bounty managers who don't care about the post quality but only the quantity will receive a temporary (e.g. 1 week, if it doesn't help, 2 weeks) ban?
This would cause them to be in a delay with the payments, so this will be a real punishment for them.
If they register a new user to complete the payments (or at least to communicate it), it will be a ban evasion so they will receive permaban, if I understand the forum rules right.
