No offense but too sloppy. Doesnt look delicious at all :/ Yeah, not sure about the ones with the baguettes as the J. The 2nd one down on the left is alright. He definitely wants orange to be the main colour so maybe orange text or an orange background with a different colour text. Thanks for everything so far, keep them coming.

Hi steelboy,
Had a bit of free time today, and started drawing the baguette sandwich in vector. Should be ready in a couple of days. Thanks!

Great. When you say vector what do you actually mean? Is it a type of file format? what are its benefits?

Pretty interesting. Are you going to try one? I like some of your work.

take newflesh's entry. I don't know him, but I'm a designer and I would participate in this, if it weren't because I fell in love with that design. It is simple, elegant and represents perfectly what you asked for.

Yeah he does like it but as mentioned before it's not quite right. The baguettes do look sausage shaped and as i said first of all i saw the baguettes as a hole in the design. I saw the darker colour as the shape, (like a puffer fish in the middle). I would be interested to see some tweaks to it. Like i said, a bit brighter and maybe bolder with the lines.

hmm now that you mention it, yeah they kind of look like sausages. Still it looks very elegant, adding borders or making things brighter as you suggest would get rid of the style and make it more casual.(if that's what you want then I think yeah the logo is not the proper one, I thought it was a place with a more elegant theme since you mentioned there would be sofas and tables). Anyways, this got my attention, I'm going to watch this thread as it goes on. There is one thing I don't like though, £30 for a logo is too low. A logo is the front of your company and what will represent it entirely, even more if you are doing a contest for it you should give a bigger prize. Usually professional logos for little business sell for 80$ ~100$ (I don't like working for less, but If I like the project I sometimes do.)

The £30 is based on the fact that the prize might be paid out even if the logo doesn't get used which wouldn't happen a designer was hired. I think if something perfect was to get shown then a little more would probably get handed out. This was just something I wanted to see if we got some results.

All the designs look great guys, thanks for the efforts. We have decided to go for newflesh though. I have just been in touch with him and are pretty close to getting it just right. Show you all when it's finished.

Made a bit more striking That looks a bit "squashed" to me, just my 2 cents.

Exactly. The OP has got an amazing bargain. This would cost $300 at 99designs.com
