I've been mining with Windows 7 for a few months now.  I decided to switch over to BAMT 1.2 so I could boot from USB sticks and use my HDs for other things.  I've noticed that hash rates mining Litecoins are a bit slower (620k vs 650k Windows).  Anyone have any good tips?  Is it possible to upgrade the Linux AMD drivers? Maybe that'll boost speed?  TIA!

Are you using the proprietary driver or open source one?

The one that comes with BAMT 1.2, I think it's the proprietary one.

I think I have the same problem here. I'd going to say it's related to drivers and lack of overclock ability. and

Mining is not about operating systems anyways yes it's possible to upgrade the Linux AMD drivers.
