The forum has been the stepping stone into the Bitcoin economy for few years now. It is well established and is the bread and butter for many individuals running their businesses from these pages.

In this light, we need to toughen things up a bit and ensure that the quality of participation from this community MUST improve.

Here are some points that I will be working on along with few other members of the forum.

i. Marketplace:

a. The marketplace is for all goods and financials, please do use it as ebay or as you would a webpage where you can sell your goods directly to the public.
b. Cross-posting under a business thread in the marketplace will not be tolerated and any cross-posts can be reported to the moderator. I will move any moderator reported cross-post to the Trashcan. Ex: If I start a sale for 10 BTC and if 3 to 4 buyers are interested, no other seller can hijack that thread and offer their price. This amounts to theft of marketing.
c. I would request everyone to stress the usage of Escrow. It does not have to be me at all, but someone has to stand Escrow in a public thread for all trades on the forum. If this is not done, please do not expect any sympathy on a scam or lost sale.

If anyone wants any other modifications to this thread, please do mention them below and they will be reviewed.

ii. Newcomers:

I need some suggestions for an official newbie guide for the Indian subforum. Please do contribute any links/ own posts.

iii. Improve the Quality of Posts:

How can we build more services and partnerships amongst people within the India Subforum? We all know each other for months now, how can we morph this friendly banter into serious business/ marketing and entrepreneurship deals?
Radical, Controversial, Silly or even Great ideas could come together right here in a mature fashion.

iv. Improve Local Communities:

How can we improve the decentralization of Bitcoin in India through meetups, Group Discussions, Chat groups, etc? We need more participation in events from all cities across India.
Hosting your own meetup just costs 19$ a month. If there is a problem with that amount, we can always request for a sponsor form the India forum.

v. Promotion of genuine Businesses:

How can we improve our focus in this area? Remember that the more Bitcoin succeeds in India, the greater, the value will grow. We need to help every legitimate business idea grow. Feel free to start a new thread in your own name in any of the sections and invite smart conversations. This will help your reputation and the community.

Anyone is free to lead these improvements. I will also contribute towards marketing the India subforum and aligning to this new model. Please do contribute any criticism and ideas.
