I downloaded the catcoin-qt wallet and have been extremely unsuccessful in syncing it, i get the failed to read block error after a few seconds after it starts to sync normally. Then every five to 8 re-openings of the wallet to continue syncing I will get the corrupted block database error. This makes me have to start syncing from the very beginning. I have tried reindexing the wallet as well as deleting the appdata file as well as the wallet itself and re-downloading it. Nothing seems to work. Has anybody had this issue and did they find a solution to it? Help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I did not have this exact issue so I don't know how helpful this might be, but since nobody else has posted, I will do the best I can. I saw a post on the Catcoin forum saying you have to download libwinpthreda-1.dll (if you are using the Windows QT client), at least as of the time I downloaded the QT client. I think they have subsequently posted a newer version, so you may want to check if they have posted a newer version of the client since the time you downloaded yours. You may also want to try setting up a fresh environment (maybe set up a virtual machine), and install it there, just to rule out issues with some pre-existing software. I think setting up each coin wallet in a separate environment is good security practice anyway, just in case you end up with a wallet stealing program, so there is nothing to be stolen. Please let me know if this helped.

My apologies, I should have been more specific. I am running Windows 7 64bit with plenty of space on my c drive (over 1TB). I do have the version with the accompanying libwinpthread-1.llb file. Unfortunately moving it to a new location did not help. I still get the errors.
