Hello forum members, if Bitcoin and other alt coins are going to be readily adopted by the general public than I hold the belief that it is up to people like us to help spread useful and truthful information. The local newscast and other media sites seems to only mention Bitcoin when something negative occurs - and it annoys me.

I'm just in the home stretch of finishing an information site tailored to the general public who would know very little about Bitcoin. I would love any feedback, positive or negative that could be given as it nears completion. As I am residing in Canada, it has information specifically targeted to Canadians and Americans - I have very little experience with other markets so I'll leave that up to the European and Asian sites.

The site is www.bitcoinmaven.com. It may contain information that you don't agree with - that's OK. Most of the information contained is based on my own personal experiences and opinions. However if you see anything glaring wrong or harmful, I would appreciate it if you let me know. The web site is based on the Zen Cart ecommerce platform because as an ecommerce web designer - it's what I know Smiley

Thanks in advance,

The Bitcoin Maven

BitcoinMaven for sure I agree with you that media is only interested in sharing negative news regarding the bitcoin but hiding all the positive news about bitcoin. By the way your site is good one where you have shown your brilliance by sharing your personnel point of view so keep on writing I must say.

Nice site.

Under "Show your appreciation" page, why not have BTC sums instead of CAD?

Very nice website, theme and layout really enjoyable!
I like the live blockchain scrolling on the right.
If I can you my personal advice, remove the black dodgy figure and replace it with something "positive" :-)

Thanks all for the compliments and suggestions - it's a real motivator  Grin

jaked - I see what you mean in that it's not clear that the support page will take a CND or USD amount and automatically convert it to a Bitcoin donation - I'll change that

nastybit - good point on the logo, I may just do some brainstorming this week to make it look less shady

Again, thanks for the feedback Bitcoin members!

im not sure you can ever get a perfect 'figure' to exist on a website. most 'binary options' 'payday loan' 'credit card' websites always feature a single person or a family with such happy cheesy smiles that it makes the whole site look fake and cheezy. instead maybe a silhouette of a group of people faded as a light grey colour as oppose to either black shadow. or truecolor image of cheesy smiling happy people.

that way with a light grey silhouette it does not draw the eye to it as a black mass, nor does it have the overly happy 'cheese'

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at
