Hello to everyone!

Today I made a withdray from my Kraken account to an address generated in my Armory wallet. I took the address (copy and paste) from the wallet and the I made withdraw.
Kraken tells me withdraw is ok and I don't see any BTC in my account, also the asistance told the transaction was ok and they see it in the blockchain(!!)
But I cannot see any transaction in my wallet and the balance is always 0,00 BTC!!!

When I made the withdraw Armory was offline but now it's online (connected) but I see  no transaction. Then I began to syncronized with Bitcoin Core (as I read- time to do it: 3 days minimum).
I'm afraid I lost my bitcoins; in the exchange it's all ok but I see nothing in my wallet

How long for receive BTC?? May I have to wait few hours? It's about 5 hours I made the withdraw and the situation is the same.
I really don't know what to do!
Thank you

Hi,

Bitcoin Core needs to be fully synced before Armory will see those coins. As long as you have that Armory wallet, they're not lost - you can check this by going to a block explorer and inputting the address: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/blocks
Make sure you are running Armory 0.96.4 - Older versions may fail to update properly.

Thank you for the reply.

Ok I'll wait for 3 days and when all the blocks will be loaded I'll check my wallet.
Yes I'm using Armory 0.96.4.

However, I don't understand why I have to install Bitcoin Core to use my Armory wallet.
Thanks Wink Huh Huh

Armory relies upon Bitcoin Core for the transactions in the blockchain data. No data then no transactions or balances.

However, I don't understand why I have to install Bitcoin Core to use my Armory wallet.

The reason is quite simple.
Armory does not rely on an online service to verify transactions. It verifies the transactions itself (and therefore the full blockchain has to be downloaded and stored).

If you don't want to download the whole blockchain, you can always switch to a lightweight client (e.g. electrum). These lightweight clients query an API to retrieve information about your balance/addresses.
