When exactly does the bitcoins per block change? I am trying to do some calculations for 2014 but i dont want to over estimate anything. Does it go to 50 next or 12.5?

The reward is halved after every 210,000 blocks. This is typically every 4 years, with the next halving in 2016, however the precise time can fluctuate as blocks are being found more rapidly due to increasing hashrates.
