So I got my reputation up to a nice level on localbitcoins and decided to increase my security and enable two-factor authentication with paper codes (didn't like the idea of using Google Authenticator).

First couple of times failed, but I tried again 2 days ago and it worked. I printed the codes out. I then went to log in today and the code 2 fails to work. Spent some time with support and they have told me that I have to disable 2FA. WTF? They said it's working their side, but clearly it's not working because I have tried it on many PCs with different browser's and OS's with the same issue.

It's a big problem for me because they are forcing me to wait 2 weeks, despite me sending a photograph of all my paper codes. That means I cannot use my account, which means I cannot buy or sell any bitcoins. I have created a new account but that forces me to buy at market, and not at the bid, so it's going to cost me money.

Just venting... Shocked

Sounds annoying. Anyway people'd have a better shot at helping you figure this out if you post details (what does "failed to work" mean exactly? Describe what you did and what happened --that is, if you care).

When I entered code 2 of from the paper codes I got this message:

lbc froze my account for two weeks, but I can now access it again, however I won't be using 2FA because it doesn't work. By the way, I tried to log in on various different operating systems and browsers and got the same error so it's not specific to my configuration, it's an error on their side, that they couldn't fix and AFAIK haven't fixed.

You must be using the wrong 2 factor seed. I've had no problems with 2 factor in lbc.

I had them check that, they confirmed I was using the right one.
