BTC QT Not Updating to v0.8.6

I have two laptops, both with a QT wallet.

Yesterday I updated both laptops to v0.8.6.

Today, I opened both and one says v0.8.6 and the other is still v0.8.5.

I have re-run the file and it still appears as v0.8.5.

Laptop with v0.8.5 is Windows 7, the other with v0.8.6 is Windows 8.

Any suggestions why this is not changing would be appreciated.

Sorry, it did not work, after reboot it said v0.8.6, when closed again  and open it is v0.8.5.

1)Delete all files related to the program, and back up your wallet.

2)Turn off your PC and restart your internet connection(Just in case of corrupted download) and re-download from .zip format and re-install.


If there is still a problem, Only thing to do is restore your PC from an earlier date if you want to keep your BTC or transfer the wallet to the other laptop.
