The connectivity problem affects the overall remote management (chrome remote desktop) of my mining machine
I am running windows 8.1 with two MSI Gaming R9 280X cards + antminer s1 + 3 NF2 GH chips via BFGminer 3.99 (daily build). I was having problems keeping a solid network connection. I made sure my power settings were set to never sleep and never turn monitor off. I also configured my Wireless N adapter to not let the PC power it off, ever. I was still having problems, so I bought a VGA dummy adapter.
Now I've traded off problems. The card runs between 88-92 degrees opposed to 73-78 prior and my KH rating is 68-70 vs 680-715. My second video card is now only averaging running 350-400Kh solo. I was getting 1350-1450KH at peak with average 77 degrees.
Here are my miner settings (which have not changed since I added the adapter):
-g 2 -I 13 -w 256 --auto-fan --thread-concurrency 8193
MSI Afterburner settings (which have also not changed)
Core Voltage -100
Power Limit -20
Core Clock 1020
Memory Clock 1500
Obviously, unplugging the VGA dummy connector will solve the problem, but then I will have an inconsistent network connection. Do I need to boot into BIOS and make onboard VGA as primary, use the dummy plug for on board VGA?
