Hi, guys. New to this forum. Actually, I am here right now just to ask a couple of questions about this brand new cryptocurrency (Coinye). 1). What do you think about it in general? 2). What is your opinion: will it be so successful as Dogecoin or LiteCoin even without an official support from Kanye West and Co?

I really don't know what real purpose it will serve, as far as its usefulness goes. I'm not sure too many merchants will be jumping at the chance to start accepting Coinyes. However, that doesn't mean it can't or won't have any value. Doge proved that. It is simply the most recently hyped trendcoin. I'm actually expecting it to gain a reasonable value, not just in spite of Kanye ..but because of the stance Kanye has taken against it. Just need to see what happens if/when it hits an exchange.
and welcome!

What do any of these alts serve? They're just get rich pump and dump schemes. They die off when they become unprofitable to mine.

Well, I believe it wiil be just awesome if it hits even such a low price as 0.1 USD per COYE. Most people who are interested in COYE have probably already bought 1-5m. Excepting me.

Haha none really. I won't argue that point. I wouldn't go so far as to say they're all pump and dump schemes though. The fact is, we really don't know exactly how cryptos will exist within the future markets. While Bitcoin is clearly the most (only even?) truly established cryptocurrency, I think it would be a little naive to say we will never have a need for another ..or that one can't improve upon it. I think it's important people keep making new coins -although, the exact protocol replicas aren't really serving a purpose to further the crypto evolution ..but there are some that try implementing new ideas.

lol I hope you're right. At $.10, I think I could almost retire off Coinye alone. ..but I think that's a bit too optimistic for COYE.

just downloaded the wallet and hit up some faucets, not really expecting much tbh, but im a fan of kanye so it's just something fun to do on the side. hope to see it become as popular as dogecoin, but either way it'll be exciting to see what happens..

Aint there a legality question about k.west coin? i recall reading some news that West hired some lawers to deal with that coin. So to be honest, i think its a crytpocurrency without future... Coin which is made for k.west fans will suffer when West will make a speech about how much he hates it.

It's not a Kanye West Coin though. It's Coinye West. The lawyers are probably just sending out cease and desist letters trying to scare the devs. Don't see what legal grounds they have to stop it.

I doubt that most people who use this coin are fans. The name is just trying to leach some interest / publicity and it worked. Well done to them. If they get sued just change the name to Kanye Pest coin lol.

In general, it a dime a dozen scrybt coin, with original daring borderline illegal marketing 2. If coinye comes close to the success of dogecoin, that would be quite the achievement as for Litecoin popularity, well one can always daydream lol
