I know - screaming "manipulation!" at big dumps is so 2011 - but still:

Whoever is executing these big market sells while paying so much in slippage is either very stupid or cleverly motivated.

Thank you for making this point.

Without a doubt unease is seeping out of your average Joe Public Bitcoiner and into your average would-be panic-sell instigator.

Not at all! You don't have to but if you check what else I've been writing you'll see I'm not being sarcastic here.  Smiley

Well i dont know... is it really manipulation...? A lot of people dont understand markets, so yeah there might be few people with big stash who just wanted to cash out quickly...

Or it might be just conincidence that the volume was so high in one moment...

Why call it a manipulation right away...? Do you have any other proof?

I detect sarcasm in above poster's post...

In 9/10 cases you would be correct.....

....but not with T.Stuart.

It is a shame really. I like him, but he is going to get his arse handed to him on a plate during this near term age of Karhu.

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.

Karhu was good for a quick laugh. Let's not encourage him to keep it up.

As an investor, returning from irrational exuberance to the trend line is not a bear market. As a swing trader, I'm not concerned about the short term bear market, because my trades are accounting for it.

The REAL bears are still waiting for $5 coins. If indeed we start slipping into sub $100 territory, I will bow to Karhu.

It's just as funny as the people who think the buy and sell walls on an exchange is all just one person.  Cheesy

I dont think those dumps are manipulators. Would not make sense to dump so much at those prices. How much slippage is there?

Sometimes people (or automated services) need to buy and sell large amounts of coin. Why is that hard to understand? Why is everything a scheme?

Maybe it's not a manipulation but a side effect.
Quite some hacks have been done on bitcoin companies. Maybe the hackers dumped the BTC for LTC or fiat. They didn't care about the market they just wanted to convert their hacked BTC.
The effect is a crappy timed sloppy trade with big volume.

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!

if you think any large-volume price movement is manipulation, you're going to have a bad time.

this sentence has fifteen words, seventy-four letters, four commas, one hyphen, and a period.
