It does say that it is an AMD/Origin collabo, more or less.

I do not use Origin, and have never used any of these codes, it does seem like you need to register an AMD rewards account to redeem the code.

EDIT: Clarification from a different thread

The BF4 code takes a little extra effort. You sign up at AMD.com/getbattlefield4 - enter the code I give you, then receive a code for redemption on the Origin platform. (thanks, monbux)
