Hello,

I'm far new to bitcoin/crypto currency and mining.

My graphic card is just a GTX 270 so I thought about cpu mining, but just getting like 40kh/s (like 10kh/s on 4 streams).

Does it even pays off to mine with such a low rate?

greetings

If it's scrypt, it's actually kinda decent. But if it's Bitcoin, it's really not worth. I mined Bitcoin with 90 MH/s earlier and wasn't even close reaching the cashout limit after mining several weeks.
You should check out Primecoin or Quarks, which can only be mined with CPU and are therefore more profitable.
