Thoughts on this new ecommerce platform on the blockchain?

Aligatocoin is building an auction sale platform with pay via eye technology (I haven't seen this technology anywhere else). Does anyone think Aligatocoin going to be able to compete with the ecommerce giants Amazon and Ebay?

I just saw their "ANN" thread and I don't see any revolutionary ideas being discussed there : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3288216.180

Their whitepaper looks attractive, but all they are doing is covering up an already well established industry with attractive blockchain wrapper. This must indeed compete with huge players in the market like Amazon and moreover there are much development in the BTC world as well, with the introduction of lightning network and many exchanges such as coinbase implementing payment gateways for e-commerce.

It will be really hard for this project to challenge already established and developing projects.
