Hi all, im planing to buy a 280x for mining and gaming, and maybe adding another one in the nearly future. My question is, which model should i buy? I was thinking about Asus 280X DirectCU II TOP, but i dont really know if it worth the diference of 30€ with the Saphire Dual X. Thanks!

I'd go with the cheapest. Excluding powercolor, XFX, HIS.

Asus, Sapphire, MSI, and Gigabyte are all very good brands. I don't mind PowerColor, but they're not the best. I stay away from VisionTek, Diamond, XFX, and HIS. They're all junk.

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

Why is xfx junk? I've built my 5x 280x xfx rig that's been rock solid for a few weeks now, each at 730kh with 1.5% rejects

Are they going to take a crap on me or what?

I''ve readed that the sapphire dual X have not a cooling sistem on the memories, is that true? As far as i know, memories work hard on scrypt mining and the should be cooled.

They have issues with VRM cooling. As well as the Powercolor model.

I have the asus r9 280x.. (v2 model) I can't say I've been overly pleased with them. They use a ton of power and I can barely get mine to about 700 kh/s per card
I was expecting 750+ when I bought them, no such luck with any of about a million different cgminer config settings.

so should I be looking to offload my rig with 5x XFX 280x?  they seem to run about 69c with a vornado fan blowing on them, turn the vornado off they they creep up mid 70c with one hitting in the 80's for some reason.
