Hello all. I only recently started reading about mining which is what brought me to this site.

I am quite fascinated by the whole idea of mining and using cryptocurrencies and think that it will one day replace fiat money, hopefully sooner than later!

I started mining some Litecoins and Digibytes, however my laptop GPU is quite old and has already crashed once so I'm unsure as to whether I should keep on mining, plus I'm also short of funds to get a new AMD card  Sad

Anyways, wish you a happy mining and I'll see you around in the forum.  Smiley

Best of luck to you, but I really wouldn't be mining just yet with an old gpu as you are more than likely losing money when you add in the amount of electrical cost with mining. If you don't have the money right now that isn't going to help you get the money. My advice is to stop mining until you can turn a profit, but you have the right idea by script mining as it is a little more lucrative for a longer term than SHA-256 is currently.

Hi Killua, thanks for the advice. Yes, I really don't think that mining is going to be lucrative for me atm at least for the more established currencies. Mining newer coins may turn profitable but it comes at a much higher risk. May be best to stop for a while.

You are most welcome, and I hope that you mine well when you start and best of luck. Smiley As a person who has a business partner and we have both been studying and studying and studying to learn as much as we can before actually diving into it I'm happy to try and help the little I do know with other new comers.
