ERROR - Get temperature failed for Adapter 1 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

Cgminer is only mining with 2 of my 3 graphics cards. The machine is detecting them because when I type

> sudo aticonfig --lsa

I get

* 0. 02:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
   1. 04:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
   2. 05:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

but when I type

> sudo aticonfig --adapter --odge

Adapter 0 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
                Sensor 0: Temperature - 39.00 C
ERROR - Get temperature failed for Adapter 1 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

Adapter 2 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
                Sensor 0: Temperature - 34.00 C

What could be causing this? What can I do about it? They were all running yesterday but then I moved the rig and they stopped working. Also I'm running xubuntu.

i have just built a new rig and experiencing similar error as above.

:~$ DISPLAY=:0 sudo aticonfig --odgt --adapter=all

Adapter 0 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
            Sensor 0: Temperature - 63.00 C
ERROR - Get temperature failed for Adapter 1 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
