Hi

I'm new to all this and I don't really know what I am doing...

I am trying to mine using Hashcow or middlecoin at the moment.

Initially I installed GUIminer and it was hashing along at 4.1mh but no stats appeared on either pool site. I contacted Hashcow support and they said I was probably not on GUIminer scrypt. This turned out to be the problem.

I couldn't install GUIminer scrypt (antivirus software kept stopping it?) so I downloaded cgminer.

I have got cgminer working but I think it is using the cpu and not the gpu; how can I check?

I have a intel hd 4000 which I am sure you will all say is pathetic but at the moment I just want to give mining a go and learn more about it. I do get free electric most of the time which is obviously an advantage.

Please can someone help.
