Read some news today while the BTC and LTC wild ride was going on....   Why is the US being BTC friendly, and in this comment from Wall Street positioning Bitcoin as a possible Payment System, rather than a currency.  It seems US is fostering a financial/social revolution, and Bitcoin is being labeled as a payment system in an attempt to be politically correct in public opinion in the US and oversees.

I can only say it is the beginning of a wave of change and great opportunity to ride it.  Take the last 3 days in trading, it's been a wild roller coaster, great to make a quick buck, while participating in the coming change.

As a newb miner and investor I am excited to see volatility which means there is still time to get in on the action, not for everyone I know... but for those who enjoy this sort of thing it's a great time to be alive.

All comments are welcome.

Bitcoin is a payment system (with its own currency). Without the payment system, bitcoins are worthless.

Exactly, they'd just be like Microsoft points if they couldn't be transferred across the planet to anyone with a wallet.

I understand the need of Bitcoin the currency being linked to it's own payment system.  However, would you think there would be this much attention from the public and governments if Bitcoin was only another Paypal.  The interesting, and dangerous in some peoples' opinion, part is the potential and unknowns from it being a currency.

I agree that it's a great time to be in on this, just for the excitement of it all. Of course, we all wish we'd boarded this train earlier, but that's how it goes. I'm investing at the moment and its great. Good to be in with all the press it's getting. I'm educating anyone I can about bitcoin at work now. And I was a sceptic to someone excitedly telling me about it just months ago.
