I made this account to ask some questions about datacoin.

Did you know it will cost about 5dtc=0.0018btc=1€ to upload 100kb of data to it? (calculated dtc <-> btc)


I hope this will get cheaper or nowbody will use it.

If it becomes to cheap, then the block chain would become very large. That wouldn't be good either.

there is thinking about lowering the fee to 0.01. Not sure yet if this will really happen. But generally speaking the Datacoin blockchain is there to store small and very important things.

But there is already thinking for adding big file implementation but this is yet only in concept stage.

In the future you could upload even bigger files and not with so big fee. But in the future...

You can upload/save your big data on cloud server, like google driver.

Data saved in DTC is shared by every datacoin client, and we cannot remove it anymore. It is forever. I think we should save our earth's most important information in it, but no game installation files, no Windows 8.1 ISO files, and no 18+ movies....
