I'm new here as well, but I've been lurking for a while.

I'm mostly interested in alt-coins as it seems BTC require a fairly large investment to be profitable. I'm also wondering where you can sell BTC and altcoins in Canada? Are there any Canadian or even North American markets? Most of the ones I've read about are in other countries which obviously makes me a little nervous. I'm just curious about how to get my money out, once I've mined up a storm of coins Smiley.

I've been using various exchanges without problems. Kraken, BTER, Justcoin, Dgex, Cryptsy. It can take a while to get to know and trust these businesses. It's all still relatively risky. Sometimes I wonder whether it's safer to store coins on an exchange rather than your own computer. I've a lot of stories about empty wallets. be careful.
