Every time I start armory, after ~1 hour of scanning and synchronizing, the program crashes before I'm even able to move my coins out.

Is this a common problem?

I am running windows 8 64-bit on a macbook something or other. (Work computer, I'd never choose a mac Smiley

Thanks,

You can perhaps work around the issue somewhat if the bitcoin client is not not synced.  You could do that separately.
Without starting Armory, launch bitcoin-qt and wait for it to sync up.
Close it.
Launch Armory (which should hopefully take less than an hour to sort itself out).

Just installed it on Windows 8 pro, 64-Bit with 2GB Ram and didn't had a crash so far... (but on a regular PC not a Mac)

I noticed if you ever synchronized the blockchain you can just copy/paste the whole folder (%appdata%\bitcoin) from one to another computer and it works and saves a lot of time.
Just make sure the Client is closed before you do it.
