I keep hearing that bandwidth doesnt matter with mining? SO then why cant we use

these PCI - PCIe adapter cards then use a 1x - 16x riser to the GPU? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150818472271?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I know this is a chinese transalation but this is what the features state for this :

Features:

● PCI Express 16x slot, compatible with 1x/4x/8x

● PCI Express Specification Version 1.0 Compliant

● Support PCI 32 bit 33MHz bus slot

● PCI Specification Version 2.3 Compliant

● Combination low profile PCI 32 bit host card

● No driver need, Support OS Windows 2000/2003/xp/vista/win7

I have seen people use PCIE gpu on these , if you look at youtube, but anyone see anyone use it for mining?

Anyone try?

What about those old Magma boards with 14 slots of PCI? Why cant we use 14 of these adapters?

The problem with those is that they're so damn expensive. I'm quite positive it will work, but why spend $30 to go from PCI to PCIe, and then another $20 for a riser? There are cheaper options, so I doubt many people have gone this route.

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

I have not looked at the eBay listing but...

a potential issue is the power issue. Search the forum here and you will find bitcointalkers who almost burned their houses down because they didn't use powered risers in their multi-gpu rigs.
