I've been attempting to pay more of my monthly expenditures with bitcoin lately.

I've found that Gyft / eGifter are a pretty awesome workaround. Amazon Gift Cards are simple to purchase and apply. I tend to do most of my generic shopping through their Prime membership.

I haven't found much in the way of groceries like Vons, etc. A solution for Costco would be huge for me.

Also, aside from big chain restaurants, local eateries don't have a lot of support yet.

However, I'm drinking the Kool Aid and will keep at it. I'm going to start asking local restaurants if they accept bitcoin, just to keep the name ringing in their ears. Maybe if enough of us hound them, they'll become interested.

How are you all doing with your bitcoin living? Any tips?

I haven't got any extra tips (sorry) beyond what you're already doing; pushing for bitcoin acceptance at local stores.

Just curious, is your primary income directly in bitcoin - or is your income mostly fiat and then converted to bitcoin soon after?

My income is mostly fiat. I buy BTC during dips every few days as I need funds.

Have you had any luck pushing local vendors?
