Hello BitcoinTalk,

(I'm sure this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm new, so I can't post anywhere else yet!)

I have a desktop computer that was bought about 2 years ago that has an ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series GPU in it. I know that it's not optimal hardware for mining, but it still should work with cgminer in theory.

Anyway, when using cgminer from the command line, the program will start up and look like it's about to mine, but it says "Error -55: Enqueueing kernel onto command queue. (clEnqueueNDRangeKernel)" followed by "GPU 0 failure, disabling!"

Using GUIMiner-scrypt, a Windows error message simply pops up that says cgminer.exe has crashed.

I'm relatively new to mining and it'd be nice to be able to use this desktop's GPU to mine instead of the one in my laptop, even if it's only a marginal improvement.

Thanks in advance for any help! (and thanks in advance if this thread gets moved to a better place! Wink

I know this is under a Bitcoin forum, but I'm having the same problem trying to mine Litecoins.
I've tried cgminer 3.5.0 and 3.7.2 with Windows 7 x64
bat file has 3 lines, first 2 always the same:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

then I use one of these lines: (plus many more)

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 8

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 1024

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 4096

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 100

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 100 --shaders 80

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.1 -p 1 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 1024 --shaders 80

etc...

What version of cgminer are you using?  GPU mining support and scrypt mining support have been removed from cgminer as of v3.8; it's strictly for sha256d mining on ASICs and FPGAs now.  Current versions of bfgminer still support GPU mining.
