Hello, I've decided to try out and mine bitcoin, however, I can't figure out why it won't start mining ...

I've joined pool, logged in and everything.

When ever I start Cgminer, I see an error "No devices detected!".

I've got a really strong computer, running quad core on 3.9Ghz overclocked + 2000Mhz 8gb ram and as said in the subject, Geforce GTX 760.

Everything run smooth and my system is 100% stable, no blue screen or anything like it so that's obviously not the problem, also tried without overclock and the same result comes out.

I also tried to update my GPU driver and no luck either.

Been trying to search all over the net and couldn't find any solution sadly:/

Please help me out ...

Thank you very much!:)

oh man...
there is to much things wrong in your post.
1. you can't mine btc with gpu.
2. cgminer doesn't support gpu-s any more.
3. nvidia gpu-s really suck at mining.

mine some altcoin like doge or ltc.
use cudaminer, it is created for nvidia cards!
your card can give you around 150kh/s! with that power you are burning more electricity than earning.

Thanks for your reply!:)

How about my CPU? can I set the program to farm with it as well or it will fail also?

And I think I miss understood, you mean that its not worth to farm with my graphic card because it burns more than I earn via wall electricity?

And I make my own power supply with some magnetic generator, however it has limit on how many things I can run at the same time so if you say its worth it then I might specialize it for this sole purpose, could use some tips on what is the best machine I can build for it with this amount of power hehe Tongue

My power generator can supply around 1200w forever basically, lets say 800w is safe call to never fall off and is self power relied, I built it my self, a bit big and clumsy but would be awesome to convert it into a money machine lol ...

well if you don't pay electricity then you have nothing to lose.
you can mine some cpu coins with your cpu.
it's not much but you sure can if you want.
150kh will earn you around 0.5ltc/day or about $1. maybe more if you chase for the most profitable ccoin at the moment.
check here http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

just to clarify some things, for the past 6 months there is no point mining btc with gpu-s. diff too high and gpu hash rate is too low!
even if you mine some scrypt coin with your gpu you will burn more power than earn coins.
but since you don't pay for electricity power consumption doesn't bother you.
