Newbie with a few questions

What is the best altcoin to mine with a gtx 780 ti?
I am currently mining protoshares (pts) with ptsgpuz0.3c and get 1860c/m

I'm not very familiar with these altcoins because I just started mining, but what is the process like when you want to cash out the coins? This (pts) has very low volume and it is probably going to be challenging to exchange them for bitcoins or something... (just my observation)

Afaik protoshares mining is the only profitable altcoin for nvidia gpus right?

With my current setup I can get about 0.74pts day which is $8.42

IS it profitable with electricity rate of $0.25?

That card isnt the best, but it can be profitable.

I would check out http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency and look at the coins they have, and pick one.

so far it looks like DOGE is doing really well, but im looking for other coins to mine as i type. always good to spread your investments.

I'm mining doge with cudaminer now. cudaminer reports 585kh/s is this good?
My card is REALLY being stressed now. 100% TDP. When mining pts it felt like the card was sleeping.

But PTS mining is still more profitable imo + less power used

i cant say for sure if PTS is more profitable or not, i havent really looked into that coin.

But the reason i say doge, is because the value is likley to increse over time.

and yea that kh/s isnt too bad, try tweaking the clocks and thread-concurrency, gpu-threads and the rest, see if you can squeeze out more.

and yea the card being at 100% is tottaly normal when mining

Yes, preserve the card. Stay away from doge and scrypt coins, unless the profit is really worth it. Try MemoryCoin and look at scrypt-jane coins. Follow this thread, of course: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0
