I had this experience when I was a newbie.It is not regarding ICO, but its a phishing site. I received emails in my yahoo account saying that I need to verify my eth address in myetherwallet. There is a link there. Since I am a newbie I am not aware of those phishing issue. I opened the link, entered my add and private key. The next day, all my tokens were transferred to other address. That is why, I am more careful now.

And the Block "team" has managed to make things even worse:

Block.one admitted over the weekend that an intruder had managed to breach its email support system, operated by cloud software provider Zendesk (ZEN, -0.45%). The scammer then sent messages and even responded to previous customer queries using Block.one’s email domain in order to lure recipients to another malicious key-capturing website.

Yeah, pretty encouraging start for a coin in which you should store your value, and one hell of a "dev" team.

Really have to be careful on investing in any ICO because a lot of scams in this market.
A lot of phishing sites, emails regarding on some good ICO so better not to participate on the links that is coming from an email. Go directly to the correct site of the specific ICO and don't be a victim of the scam.

This is a sad one, as scammer rate keeps increasing. A friend was hacked with this kind of email and he lost all his valuable coins. They won't stop sending this kind of mails to steal peoples coins. Everyone should be careful and protect their email, dont click any mail you are not aware of or sure of its source you avoid being hacked.

I received one fake ICO email last year,but I just deleted everything.I just don`t open such emails.
The sad thing is that there were people on this forum, selling email lists in the "Products" and in the "Services"
sub-forums.By the way,I`m curious about our anti-virus programs.Can they detect cryptocurrency related phishing sites?
