1200w for 6 280xs each pulling 730khs is very impressive.  Nice job.

It would be even nicer if the older AMD drivers would work for the 270s like they do for the 280xs!

2x 1200w, not 1 ... this build is not optimized for power efficiency (yet)... were were running:

CX600 using 411w on kilowatt, each thermaltakes sitting at 935w on the kilowatt, so 411+935+935 AC ... assuming 85% efficient: around 1938w DC running all @ 1160core/1875 @ 1.25 per card

Nice setup, but not very efficient. My 6x 280x setups use 1650w at the wall with each card @ 750KH/s. (88% efficiency PSUs)

Absolutely ... the build was more going through the fun of getting a 6x rig build first. Another episode of optimizing it should be a good one!

If this is a dumb question, please go easy on me. The BTC board has two 4 pin 12V ports. Are you running both of them off the same PSU or one from two different PSUs? I'm sure I know the answer already, but second opinion never hurt.

Good build and episode!

I have however a suggestion for you guys, for a future episode if it is possible: a build with Nvidia 750Ti's. A few days out and I'm already a bit fed of generic PC hardware or PC gamer sites making half-assed reviews of cards at mining,  biased or almost clueless. I'd really like to see from people that know well WTF they are doing! The speed, the economics, power use at the wall while mining, at what extent these cards make sense, if motherboards (and risers) can handle so many cards that don't have PCI-e power, etc...
