low number of ICOs on NEO platform

Hi,
I read great things about NEO but surprisingly there have been about 27 ICOs as per one spreadsheet.
But even more surprising thing is that Asian teams continue to start hundreds of ERC20 based ICOs.
Why are they not doing them on NEO platform? Because the Chinese govt is involved in NEO?

They use Ethereum because Ethereum is more popular than NEO. It is also more proven in terms of Smart Contract. Making token in Ethereum is also easy and more friendly user because NEO is a new Smart Contract platform and other developers are not yet familiar with it.
