Ok. It is good to know that metamask to chrome browser pose problems if you install so many will be warned. I am glad I have installed metamask before with many good reviews. Maybe this version is not good at all and that many bad reviews surfaced.

How many version is metamask has? I dont really understand how it work since now i still feel happy with myetherwallet.
I will feel free to check this to remind me that is not all metamask is good. Thanks for warning.

MEW and Metamask basically works the same way. The main difference is that with MEW, you have to INPUT your private keys into the browser which you may or may not send to the server hosting the webpage. This is a security risk because you may send your keys to a phishing site.

Metamask is self-contained, meaning it just sends out signed transactions instead of keys. It's great with ETH but no support for tokens. So you need MEW and Metamask to move tokens.

if we open MEW with metamask then it is as safe as doing txn with metamask itself .
bcoz while login in mew via metamask , it do not expose our key , so we can do all tasks on MEW without importing pvt key .

I think google chrome removed this phishing extension from their list .
but i dont know how these people able to list any app/ext openly ,
google should check their background , there should be a procedure to verify scam attempt .

anyone can create and list their app anywhere , even if its in chrome store or appstore/google play there were lots of scam and junk apps .

The admin of those said platfom didnt even manage to check them because they are too many and that would probably take a lot of time and effort to install and check them one by one.

I suggest better read the reviews and coments on that app or browser extension before you install in order to avoid any problems that can occur.

It is best to go directly to the metamask.io home page to choose the version for your browser. Do not go through google search

There should be a system to check every developer before allowing them to create and publish/list their app or software to public . Everyone is not enough intelligent and knowledgeably to catch these tricks , They do fall in such traps .
Also users should install cryptonite like software and extensions in their browser to prevent other type of phishing attacks .
also there can be a blue or green tick mark on every app and extension which is verified by site , so that it is easy to know fake and real extension .

Do not install this to Chrome browser. It's fake. Always check if the extension has many reviews before installing. It might steal your Ethereum private keys. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/ajhghapnjiaimhegcipdpehnihdkljdj?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon
