Well, I don't think there's some kind of new movement where people used to want to work, but now they don't. As technology progresses though, the questions becomes, "We happens in society if people don't need to work anymore?" This is what's happening. Robots are replacing thousands of jobs in factories. Computers are replacing call center agents. Self-driving cars will soon be replacing millions of jobs that used to require human drivers. This trend will continue. We are faced with a very difficult question, what will we do with the people if they don't have to work anymore? We need to figure out a way to share the wealth produced by technological advancements. Maybe someday governments will have a goal to eliminate as many jobs as possible, rather than create them.
