What makes Ethereum and bitcoin and other coins and erc20 so important?

To be honest, im a bit trading for a while and do some stuff like a bit of mining
i know that they have some products and services that can help the community
but what makes these coins so important aside from they say that its different
from each other, but in reality, they only have some advantage but
but built on the same core?

Bitcoin is important because it has the biggest marketcap and was first cryptocurrency, about ethereum I would say that it was first cryptocurrencies with own programme language. ERC 20 somehow I can't see how they are important, maybe Eos and Ziliqa and that' it. Every big altcoin on ethereum has plans to run own blockchain in future, so ERC20 is just a bridge for them.

if you have seen the whole history of bitcoin and ethereum. Ethereum has started from the bitcoin open source code but vitalik was creating so many differences from the original bitcoin open source code. That's called smartcontract right now. The tokens were reflecting your shares. This is why shares can be called as a security. Some projects have been releasing its product.

neither Ethereum nor the ERC20 tokens are important! in fact nobody cares one bit about any of them apart from those who have invested in them and have their money at risk.

importance come from usage and so far only bitcoin has usage and that is as a real currency. the only use for ethereum is to participate in scam ICOs and test your luck!

i think everyone of you is correct , everyone only thinks of the profit that we are gaining
but i think we should also think what will this do in the future, a lot of things might change
what really blockchain will to and what will happen once its globally use, we might see
a secure and anonymous transactions, but at the moment im thinking, is this going to
help us all, or some bad guys going to benefit a lot, since no one can identify them,
lets hope everything goes well as plan to be in the good side, if yah know what im thinking
let good people profit or benefit on this, not drug lords and laundering money groups

Most of the time, why most teams will choose ERC20 tokens because the ETH have a high enough heat, and ERC20 token issue is quite easy, this is the main reason, most of the token at this stage is just a hype.
