How come hate unites more than a major common goal? 😕

It is maybe nothing but human nature, I can't be sure at the moment, I don't have any psychological or anthropological background to make a statement, but I would like to share a small thought I had this morning.

I was checking in the news than the Brexit party (MEPs) turn backs on Ode to Joy at European parliament. Besides reckoning the immature attitude of these politicians, I did see the pattern politicians are following. It caught my attention that in history, hate has being use by poor leaders to unite people under their flag. To cite some examples:

• Hitler used a racist thought to unite the Germanic tribes under an arian flag, and twisted that thought to promote and excuse a war we all know.
• Trump used a xenophobic idea to unite the economical dissatisfied USA citizens, and used that to pass so many crazy laws and probably win next elections.
• Now, in the UK, Nigel Farage is using a bad settled Brexit situation to induce fear that will probably end up in hate towards de European Union.

So my point is, that these leaders convince people to not achieve a common global goal, probably based on selfishness in order to satisfy their own agenda, and the only way to convince the people that such common goal is not the best option, is to create and promote hate.

I think it's because hate or something related to it, is more interesting than goodness. We naturally attracted to something that is weird, controversial, and different from most people. We evaluate this idea under our conscious mind, like we always think about it without conscious.
The same way news working to grab our attention, by airing story about crime or people criticize each other, because people most likely will watch it more and commented and talk about it more that spread the good news.
Or maybe it is easier to do bad things rather than doing good. And society that is follow it feels superior than other. That's why they prefer it, under a reason what they believe as for the greater good.

Because it's easier to put all the blame on strangers with the words "beat goats "

Maybe because it hating the same idea altogether and doing something about it is much more fulfilling like when it is being addressed. Like these people are probably looking good for themselves to create a unity, to vanish the wrong thing that they dont like. They see themselves as heroes. IMO.
