The term “better late than never” does not apply here. Sorry, Brussels. According to a story posted on The Guardian, Brussels was criticized for its slow response to the use of hazardous chemicals, putting people’s health at risk. A ClientEarth study found that in “nine out of 10 cases the European commission’s decision to ban a toxic chemical after it had been identified was “excessively delayed”, sometimes for up to four years.”

How frustrating is it that our leaders cannot even set its priorities straight? Citizens are working so hard to earn a living and providing for their families –they shouldn’t have to worry anymore if the government is doing its job, correct?
