RX 560 & RX 570 POST Conflict

I have a setup with 9 x RX570s & 3 x RX 560 GPUs. The problem is that 1 / 3 times some of the RX560(s) will not be detected and when booted into Windows RX 560 cannot be seen. Then just by rebooting it becomes visible. Seems completely at random. I have tried other RX 560 & RX 570 cards to rule out possibility of hardware issue - it does not seem to be a hardware problem.

I have a motherboard that tells me which PCI-E slots / GPU's are detected during POST, so I can see the 560 not detected even before Windows boots - so it's not a software problem.

What I think might be happening is that the BIOS for 560 is a bit different from 570 and it gets detected a bit slower then 570 - not sure about this one, just a guess.

Is there anything that I can try to get 560s to play nice with 570s?

Are you sure you have enough power for all the cards?  A quick test would be to unplug a couple of the 570s and then see if all the 560s are recognized.

Yep, plenty of power to spare. Only using PSU at ~65% load. Also tried different power supplies to rule out that possibility.

If the 560s post (which happens about 2 / 3 times) I'm able to mine with them successfully without any problems. But if I reboot and POST report does not detect 1 or 2 560's then its not visible in Windows either..

I do have custom BIOS with modified straps, but that is resolved in Windows by running AtiDagPatcher - have no clue why the 560 cards would sometimes not be detected during POST / BIOS...

My next step would be to swap risers between the 560s and the 570s.  So many times, you’ve got to figure out what it’s not to figure out what it is.

Read my mind bro I tried swapping risers & cables, def not a hardware issue.

I actually have 2 of these identical rigs with 9x 570s + 3x 560s - both rigs are completely identical hardware - only the 3 560s have this problem on both rigs.

I did update about month ago, but Asus has a new BIOS out this month - will try to update to latest version and report results

I had also the same problem. But with me the cpu could not reconize the whole rig.
I had a custom bios. The hardware works perfect by me. Its was the driver. Reinstall the driver en patched them.

Thanks. I'm able to resolve the problem you describe by running AtiDagPatcher. But in my case 1 or 2 of the 560's will not be detected during post, so even before Windows / Drivers load up. I'm using ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard, and it shows PCI-E slot detection during POST.

Were you using a mix of 570s & 560s like me as well?

Just flashed w/ latest BIOS from ASUS but problem still remains...
