Testnet4/BIP94 support
Support for Testnet4 as specified in BIP94 has been added. The network can be selected with the -testnet4 option and the section header is also named [testnet4].

While the intention is to phase out support for Testnet3 in an upcoming version, support for it is still available via the known options in this release. (#29775)

If we do reopen I will be sure to comp all forced withdrawals.  Sucks, but this is way safer and for the best.

We have to audit all the accounts and the more empty account... the better I feel.

Tonight we came back online quietly.

I'm only going to slightly change notices because I don't want to encourage site use until I make a post tomorrow with details on how upside-down Bitcoin is (keep reading).  Everything else should withdraw fine, so if you want to sell Testnet3 and withdraw Monero, no problem at all.

Bitcoin withdrawals that slide into pending will be filled as we make payments or as Peter deposits... regardless of the peter and paul payments, we are going to get the base amount covered ASAP.

We have several plans to cover, for example, Bitcoin Testnet 4 deposits are still on pause while we liquidate our 500,000 TBTC stash.  Right now the stash is for sale @ 39 sats a pop and I think that is fairly fair.  Those coins are instantly available for withdrawal as well because only Bitcoin got hit in any terrible fashion.

Tomorrow I'll have details and addresses for repayment monitoring for transparency.

As of right now the BTC IOU balance appears to be: 0.20936839 BTC

Sounds like a bunch, but keep in mind... we move around a few coins.


People with small balances.  You may consider waiting a few days while our books hopefully fill back up with orders.  I'm not sure how fast that will be or if it will be slow until we are above water OR if you crazy bastards go wild over night.

Aw, man.  I have not been paying attention to what's been going on with your site, but I hate to see it come to and end like this.  Sure, it didn't see coins change hands with massive volume, but I swear it seems like only yesterday that I was slapping these stickers on courthouse windows, church doors, unsuspecting zoo animals, and even an innocent lamppost that was near enough such that I could keep an eye on it.

All this bullshit popped up at the start of OCT when we had a HD crash.

X has .18 BTC paid back and the company has the biggest liability in the .20 BTC the books are out... lots of those accounts are fairly old as well, so I don't think it should be to big of a deal... obviously still fucking sucks and will be fixed asap, but .2 BTC even on a small website like us isn't terrible.  We had whole coins till I pulled the plug on her.

We are going to get back to giving out free stuff again.  I do have some AltQuick.com stickers, but it seems people would much rather t-shirts.

Historically, we haven't done "paid listing".  We just do "if we like your project" it's free.

However, things are a bit different today.  I'll make a market for the life of our exchange if the interested party covers the .2 BTC we are upside down. . (doing whatever we basically can to get this clawed back ASAP)

We do market, but I'm scared to market right now.  We just came back online from a theft and are a small crypto business.  

The volume looks low because I had the exchange shut off Oct 2 when I noticed the problem.  We brought the website online last night quietly because I want to make sure everything stays glued together.

I also don't fake volume on our website, like I think 99% of exchanges do, that's been a hell of a hurdle to get over in the past 6 years as well.

As of right now, the BTC IOU balance appears to be: ~0.20936839 BTC, and the repayment address is bc1qjmutwhqyyqhprwruplps8f8y09fcl7u4dpd85q. The first .18 BTC repayment went to a different address, and can be seen in a previous post.

The current balance is -0.14643842 BTC — no “~” this time.

The system should be smooth sailing for all users at this point. Regardless, the above balance will be corrected. We’ve settled the issue between partners, and this liability falls on me(ish). I took 20% ownership for the 0.2 BTC, with the partner retaining the right to buy it back for one year. X continues to own 20% of the site’s operations.

I’m not going to let things fall apart over a dust amount of Bitcoin, but I am going to let the system pay itself back if possible. (In other words, I’m not just going to immediately drop BTC into it, because I don’t think it’s necessary. This is a very niche little exchange.)

The address bc1qjmutwhqyyqhprwruplps8f8y09fcl7u4dpd85q has received 0.04384636 BTC so far at the time of this post.
