I just ordered an Antmner S1 from Bitmaintech.com yesterday, supposed to start shipping out on Feb 8th.

Does anyone have an estimated time of arrival based on the last batches? How long did the last batches take to ship? When did you order and when did you get it?

Anyone else got one coming? Please post when you ordered and when you expect to receive it(or eventually do) Smiley

Just hoping to collect some data here Smiley So very impatiently waiting Smiley

Taking a wild guess, I would imagine they might be delivered on or about February 11th-12th if prior history is an indicator.

How long will these be profitable?

I am looking for a short term solution while I try to figure which way I want to go with my rig.

Thanks for the first estimate - hope you're right Smiley

They will only break even if the difficulty increments average below around 22-24% and electricity is relatively cheap. And obviously only if the Bitcoin price stays up. I'll probably try to resell it in a month or six weeks.

They are not a good investment but probably the best there is for Bitcoin mining equipment that ships now.

How much of a pain is it to order directly from Bitmaintech?  Any issues getting the units shipped over from China?

I'm wondering because I just received my first S1 - which I bought from a vendor over here.  Then I ran across the Bitmaintech site after doing some research. Ordering directly from them seems like the way to go - price wise.

You will probably have extra trouble with customs, but they're completely legit. It may be a couple of days before you can actually buy one though. They are pretty much out of stock.

That's what I was wondering - what kind of "pain" are talking about from customs?  Are we just talking about  few days of delay?  Or are we talking about something worse?  I've brought stuff in from China before - and not had much problems. But it was clothes and stuff like that.

If customs want an invoice because they don't believe the 120$ on the invoice it might give you problems.

Yeah - that could be a problem, because Bitmain takes payment in Bitcoin.  Do they ship the miner with an invoice that says $120?

I guess what I'm wondering is - has anybody done this ( I know somebody has because I've seen the posts and videos on Youtube) - and what happened?

$28.something cash on delivery.  Everything on Bitmain is sold out now or else I would order another two

So UPS shows up at your door and you owe $28.00 COD?

If it's that easy - I'll be putting in an order on Bitmain as soon as they have more available.

How long do they typically take to arrive from China?
