Bidding three thousand dollars for a legendary account. Probably a fake bid by the seller who is already tagged. An obvious throwaway, again likely to be an alt to increase bidding or the public's interpretation of the value of a legendary account. Who in their mind pays three grand for a fucking forum account LOL

My offer is 0.4 BTC  Smiley

I guess so too, what a pretty good move but too obvious. Don't worry, no one will be so stupid to buy an account with a price of 3k usd (that's exaggerated) except if there is someone who is really desperate to buy a Legendary account just to earn money. Also the buyer is still in a possibility of being scammed. Whoever will be the buyer is, well s/he will be in a brink of being scammed in the end. I can't imagine that the buyer will create a thread in Scam Accusation saying s/he was scammed by an account seller  Cheesy

Anyway, why you didn't bid the seller with a price of 0.6 or higher, let's just see how the discussions will go  Grin Or how if you bid the same amount which is 0.4, if the seller chose to make a deal with you instead of the first one who bid 0.4 then its pretty obvious that the first bid was a fake.

Perhaps the reason for buying that account is to get merits as some of those accounts come with about 200 sMerit.
These merits can be used to rank-up about 20 accounts.
Also, some signature campaigns accept members who have a negative trust.
Generally, it appears that the OP owns this account or managed by someone with a lot of accounts or someone who knows nothing about the forum.
Tagging it is a waste of time.

I tagged that bidder, not that it matters much since it's obviously a throwaway account.

Even if you were a Legendary earning 0.0375BTC/week in Chipmixer (which you wouldn't even have to have that rank for), it would take you over 11 weeks to break even--and that's even IF you could get accepted into that campaign or one that pays a similar rate, which isn't likely.

I think $3000 for a Legendary account is a huge waste of money.  If you're a shitposter who can't speak English to save your life, you're risking getting banned or blacklisted from campaigns.  To most of the desperate spammers, that's an enormous sum of money to be putting at risk.

Perhaps the reason for buying that account is to get merits as some of those accounts come with about 200 sMerit.
The seller doesn't mention any of that, so I suspect there will be no sMerits included in that account.  Don't you think the seller would have sold the sMerits or used them to rank up other accounts he's looking to sell?

That guy already won according to the seller. The seller mentioned that he will include the private key. LMAO the bidder doesn't know what his/her getting for. I'm sure that the winner will change the password so its time to hunt that Legendary account in seclog and I'm sure that it will be caught sooner.

I do not think it's that easy and this is the first time I have seen such a sale.

- The private key of this staked address. As you will get the private key, you could even choose NOT to change the password for a month or two, and nobody will ever know that the account owner changed.
- The original email address
- The account is NOT in the seclog.log for a password or email change, or inactivity. [/b]
If this is true and an escrow is used for a long time "like Bitify.com [1-month escrow]", S/he will not need to change his/her password soon.
If someone is interested in tagging that account, seclog will be watched for a while and check the changing style of writing.
