Who is actually buying on ebay!

I see all these worldcoins, dogecoins, vertcoins, maxcoins etc listed on ebay and I can't figure out who on earth is actually buying them at such markups, e.g. 1 Maxcoin for $2.5, almost twice the price of what you can just buy directly from a crypto-exchange using BTC.

Doesn't make sense. Anyways... End of rant.

people hear about crypto and are too lazy to google it and put the time in the forum reading and learning

It probably has something to do with being able to pay with paypal not everybody has BTC or wants to wait weeks for I.D verification to deposit cash into an exchange they never used before and people will pay a premium for that. Also people are familiar with ebay and and is easy to see the sellers feedback.
